A Big Announcement!

Introducing...an inaugural event for women in youth ministry

I've waited a long time for a gathering like this. So why not go ahead and lead one?

When The Youth Cartel hired me, launching a Women in Youth Ministry Campference was one of the deliverables we agreed upon. It was actually something the (Mark Oestreicher and Adam McLane) have wanted for a long time. And now we could actually do it (because, ya know, I'm a girl and they're not). Before I even came on board at TYC, Rachel Blom and Leneita Fix wanted to make this happen. Together, we made a team. And for the past few months, we've been secretly dreaming, praying, conspiring, and putting together the basic framework for the event.

This Campference - a mashup of the best of the camp and conference experiences - is for any type of woman in youth ministry. As we've leaked thoughts of this Campference to our friends and on social media, the response has been palpable excitement. A collective sigh of sorts has been released. Finally. We need it.

One of the best parts is that every single woman who we've asked to speak or participate in any way has said an enthusiastic, "YES!" You're going to love to line-up of women we already have to lead us.But what will make this Campference truly wonderful is the unique voice, presence, experience, and participation of every woman who comes.

The Campference hasn't even happened yet, but this Women in Youth Ministry Campference is a dream come true for me ... and I know a lot of other women in our world. We're only guaranteed 100 spots, so get yourself and your wonder women registered early.

We'd LOVE for you to check it out HERE and share with every woman in youth ministry you know. I think it's going to be a remarkable time together! We hope to see you there!!

April has been a visionary activist her entire life. She has made it her mission to lead high performing teams and develop leaders in the margins of society while caring for our bodies, mind, and spirit. Secretly, she’s a mix of a total girly girl and a tomboy, and is still crazy about her high school sweetheart, Brian. Together, they co-parent 3 fabulous kiddos and live in Orange County, CA.
