In the next couple months, I am launching a new coaching cohort through The Youth Cartel in Northern Indiana. Our Youth Ministry Coaching Program (YMCP) is a whole-life coaching program focusing on transformation and youth ministry development. Over the past 6 years, The Youth Cartel has graduated over 300 youth workers from this program and we've seen stunning results.

What is this cohort actually focused on?

Critical thinking and theological reflection are extremely important for youth workers who don’t merely want to perpetuate the way things have been done in the past. However, thinking and reflection are merely one portion (though a significant one) of what will help youth workers stay true to their calling and also grow in maturity and effectiveness. Emotional, relational, and spiritual health are essential to long-term impact. YMCP is designed to provide both an opportunity for critical reflection and discussion of youth ministry issues, but also to provide a safe place to experience holistic growth.

In most ways, this program will surpass the training that can be offered by seminars and conventions. It will even surpass the experience of formal education. This is specifically due to the structure of the program (a small cohort with accountability, safety and shared shaping of the content), as well as the content of the program (thoughtful youth ministry dialogue, real life application, customized personal development, emotional honesty, and spiritual direction).

I'm stoked about this cohort for a bunch of reasons. First, it's for both men and women. And there's such beautiful learning when we come together and share our experiences. Second, it's in the Midwest, which means travel is much simpler for a bunch of folks. You can just drive rather than book a bunch of expensive flights! Third, it's a hybrid cohort, meaning that we'll meet face-to-face AND online for our meetings. So, you'll optimize your time getting away and not being away more than needed. Lastly, the folks that have already been accepted into this cohort are just great!

Speaking of, the cohort is already half filled! And I am anticipating it will fill up in the next month, so get in while you can! We're accepting 5 more applicants. Here are some details about this cohort...

Meetings:

3 face-to-face meetings of 2 days each (first day starts at 8am and second day ends by 3:30pm)
3 online meetings of 3 hours each
7 individual coaching sessions (3 face-to-face and 4 phone).

Price: $2500 plus travel expenses. We can work with you on payments for the cohort. You can see some creative ideas here. Our only 3 rules are: pay the $100 deposit to secure your spot, pay something else before the first meeting so you have more of an investment into the process, and pay in full by the last meeting. Beyond that, we'll work with you for how and when to pay for the whole cohort.

Launch Date: Late 2016 or Early 2017. Participants will help choose actual meeting dates.
