from ashes to africa...

My girlfriend, Erin, bought me this book for my birthday, and I devoured it. At about the halfway point, I exclaimed to Brian (which, by the way, I do often when it comes to our babies) that we should have written this book! It is such an amazing story of one couple's journey from the ashes of infertility to their African adoption. But really it's also our journey from ashes to Africa.

I laughed. I cried. I copiously underlined and marked in the margins comments like "so me!", "this is how I felt", and "totally our journey". Josh & Amy Bottomly's book gave words, pages, and chapters to our ashes to Africa story. If you'd like a great, easy, soul-moving read, please pick it up!
