Financial Specifics

"He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord,
and he will reward him for what he has done."
Proverbs 19:17

It's a $30,000 leap of faith to adopt 2 little ones from Ethiopia. I've always believed that God would provide the resources to bring them home, because we believed God called us to these babies. But we couldn't imagine how it would expand our hearts to see his people give to our babies.

After our dossier, gets sent to Ethiopia, here are the remaining expenses. Our grants and personal donations can still go toward our expenses (and their tax deductible through our agency).

ALSO, IF OUR 2ND CHILD IS UNRELATED, WE WILL OWE AN ADDITIONAL $2500 IMMEDIATELY!

Estimated Travel Expenses Amount
Ethiopia Visa (per person) $60–$100
Airfare for adult (roundtrip per person) - ALREADY DONATED!
$1700–$3500
Airfare for child (one way from Addis Ababa) $500–$1500
In-Country expenses (including: escort, airport transfers, food, lodging, car and driver, interpreter, any in-country flights, etc) $2000
U.S. Visa for both babies – Embassy Fees Amount
Medical Examination $350
Immigrant Visa Fee $800
Additional Non-sibling fee - dependent on our referral $670
Visa photos $40
Ethiopian Passports $70

That's the bulk of it. There are some odds and ends expenses, but this is the last of our adoption expenses. Then bring on normal child-raising expenses! :)

As you can see, we will still incur expenses once our dossier is shipped. If you'd like to donate even after our dossier is shipped, we'd be honored.
